Breast Augmentation Candidacy
A good candidate for breast augmentation surgery is healthy, 18 years of age or older, and not currently pregnant or nursing. Breast augmentation can enhance your self-confidence and your appearance, but you must have realistic expectations of what you hope to achieve through the surgery. Breast augmentation surgery does not change who you are. It can change the size and shape of your breasts, correct imbalance, and improve firmness and body contour.
There are many things to consider before deciding if breast augmentation is right for you. However, a healthy adult with a good self-image may be an excellent candidate for breast augmentation surgery; a good candidate is a woman who follows a healthy diet and participates in some form of physical activity. Another consideration should be given to whether your childbearing years are over when contemplating breast augmentation surgery. Pregnancy and nursing may affect the look of your breasts warranting breast implant revision surgery.
